It has been a very cold week which has not helped our anglers. I arrived at the sauce Pool in midweek to watch a fish of about eighteen pounds being lost right at the net. I have heard various opinions on when one can consider a fish as "returned". As this guy was about to unhook this fish in about two seconds, I wonder if he should be able to class it as "returned" ?? It is quite magical to witness smolts heading for the sea. This seems to be the complete opposite of what has been happening with nature so far this year with most things appearing to be late.
