It is another Saturday but slightly different than normal with it being the first day of a new Year. As I look back on the past five years since standing down from the main river I can tell you that there were some extremely difficult days during that period. From being a working part of something on a daily basis for almost fifty years to being no longer required, took a lot of getting used to. I would like to thank both my Sons Clyne and Jamie for their incredible support without which I truly wonder how I may have managed. Thank You Both. I must never forget Brother Ben whose help and encouragement has been absolutely invaluable. Thanks Ben. We are just a few days away from another new season and we will be keeping fingers crossed that the dreaded Covid does not interfere too much with this one!
