With no change in river height it was wonderful to see quite a lot of fish entering the system. Now one must ask the question, was this because of some wonderful accomplishment of a member of the Scottish government? Maybe perhaps the work of a particularly enlightened fisheries scientist? Maybe one of the mouthpieces that have been constantly carping about our rivers ? NAH !! I will just whisper this. It was NATURE. The midweek cold spell caused water temperatures to drop by a couple of degrees and this encouraged the salmon to enter the river.
