If you had been looking at the daily logs you will have seen that our first fish was caught this week, a fresh 7lb fish from bt 7. Pat Nicol was, nearly said lucky rod, but Pat has been out in all weather this year and is deserving of the first fish. I expect to see a bit more activity on the river this coming week and a few more fish in the book.
Other signs of Spring are certainly with us, the fields around the river have 100's of lapwings and golden plover waiting to move on to the hill to breed and the geese hare increasing daily. Also the regular pair of Oyster catchers are at bt 9. |
