Sadly, we were unable to produce a January fish. There were a couple of baggots caught-----one on beat 1 and the other on beat 7. Jim Cameron also had a farmed salmon on beat one ( dosen`t count).
The eggs in the Hatchery are now in the process of "eyeing up" so we are looking forward to a very successful Hatch.
I overheard Dougie speaking to some Anglers on Halkirk Bridge in midweek and he seemed to have said " If McCarthy catches the first fish it will be a bloody mackerel"------------having reflected upon this for some time I think what he probably said was that it would be a bloody miracle!!!! |
