Despite a dropping river and some fierce gales we picked up quite a few fish in the course of the week. There is no question in my mind that there are more fish around this Spring than there has been for several years. It is a privilege to witness the continuing migration of the smolts.
It has also been a privilege, for the past month, to continue to watch the pair of Oyster Catchers who have " set up home" opposite my house, as they have done for the past six years. Their antics are a joy to behold ! |
