I hear on the grapevine that a certain Irish gentleman who is a regular visitor to the Thurso, had a Birthday quite recently. The whole Village celebrated throughout the day which culminated in a version of " Who Wants To Be A Millionaire".
The "Birthday Boy" won through to the final. The last question to be asked, which would win him an expenses paid trip to the Thurso was :: Which bird does not build it`s own nest. (a) Crow (b) Starling (c) Cuckoo (d) Lapwing. The whole room erupted when the correct answer " cuckoo" was given. Later that evening a few of his friends asked him how he knew the answer. He responded by saying " Surely EVERYONE knows that a cuckoo lives in a fookin clock.
