First of all I feel that I should respond to all of those who contacted me regarding my remarks in last weeks report about having to don the wader myself to put a fish in the book. Most of the responsed were along the line that, because of my rather corpulent state, the act of " donning" the waders would be a time consuming and major exercise. I was mortally offended !!
Because I have been so busy this week I did not have the time to put my plan in to action. However, I did some positive psychological work with a few of the anglers which appears to have been successful with Nick Clasper taking our first fish of the season from beat seven and we have had another from beat six, today.
When I was in the workshop earlier in the day I noticed extra large jar of lubricant on the bench next to my waders. Do you think it possible that Isobel may be trying to tell me something? |
