The Thurso River - Caithness

Report:	It has been a very strange week with the fish very reluctant to take a fly. Although water levels are dropping away I am pretty certain that it is something atmospheric that is the main cause of this. We have seen many, many hundreds of fish leave the Estuary but when they enter the system they become almost as invisible as Dougie`s wallet when we go in to the Ulbster for a dram. The forecast is ( yet again) predicting rain in the next forty eight hours !!
