The month of May has started in the same way as the last few days of April ended with fish coming off most beats. Best fish today was anm eighteen pounder from beat six.
On Wednesday evenig just as darkness was setting in I happened to be on the shore of Loch Beg. For about fifteen minutes there was an absolute eruption of smolts moving. It is difficult to make an accurate estimate of numbers but I casn confidentlly say that there must have been tens of thousands.
