The weather became very patchy this week and so has the fishing. Pat Quinn who has been a Summer visitor to the Thurso for almost thirty years ( and one of the finest men that it has been my privilege to meet) decided to try a visit in the Spring. Pat, along with his Son David, decided to take along a couple of young friends who had never caught a salmon before. One of those, Peter Lawrie, caught his first ever salmon on beat two and then rubbed their noses in it by taking another from beat thirteen the following day. During a fleeting visit Nigel Griffiths took a nice fish from beat four. |
