The poor weather is part of the reason that we still haven`t taken a fish. The forecast for Monday is poor but I am reasonably confident that, if we get a few rods on the water in the next ten days, we will take a fish.
At the tail end of last season I made an arrangement with my Employers that we would retain one rotation (two rods) to allow me a little "wriggle room". By this I meant to have one beat in reserve at all times so that I was capable of giving someone a change of beat for whatever reason.
At a Meeting in mid-week I became aware that we had been turning anglers away in the month of September. It was not my intention to have included August and September in this agreement.
