Although the drought continues we still enjoyed some good sport in the course of the week. The Passmore Party had nineteen fish at the last count and, athough there were six rods in the Party, I have been aked to attribute the entire catch to Mr Passmore (joke, Nigel, joke)
Tony Andrrews had a silver grilse on beat three,Alison Wood took her first ever salmon on fly from the same beat and a couple of days later, Husband John, took a scrawny old thing on beat ten, which, immediately after being unhooked took one look at it`s captor and leapt back in to the river.
Next week sees another season bite the dust and, despite very poor conditions for most of the year. we will end up with a very respectable total. |
