There were times during the week that it seemed as if the fish had come out on strike with the workers at Grangemouth. For much of the week we were best with the Caithness curse-----cold easterly wind and brassy sunshine. However, David Risbridger had a brace, taking one from beat ten and another from beat eight and there were also fish for John Goodman, Brian Greaves and John Mills amongst others. We are seeing tens of thousands of very healthy smolts migrating to sea which always makes me feel very hopeful for the future. |
