Very little has been achieved during the week because of terrible weather. We have had a lot of rain which has now decided for us that we will not be catching up fish to take eggs in to the Hatchery. Because of the way that Historically, we catch fish up for spawning purposes has failed us, we will be looking at other ways of catching up the salmon for future years. There are already several ideas in the pipeline, but I will inform you as soon as we decide on any new method. This does not mean that we will banish for evermore the tried and tested sytem of the past, rather it will mean that we have an alternative available for very high water situations. |
