I decided to file the weekly report one day early on the Anniversary of the huge spate of October 2006 to remind myself of how fortunate we were not to have massive damages done to river banks and fish stocks. As I have already mentioned, we have undertaken an elctro fishing survey to find out the status of the Juvenile stocks. Again, I am delighted to be able to report that, in comparison with previous surveys, we are looking good.
Obviously, it was not only the Thurso that had concerns about the Juvenile stocks. We have also done surveys on Berridale, Langwell, and the Wick.
Again, it was proved to me how Nature does take care of thing with all systems in good order. |
