Report: The river has continued to run high for much of the week but I have now walked most of the beats and I can tell you that we got off very, very lightly with the late October spate. There are a lot of fences down which will need new stiles when the Farmers replace them in the Spring but, all in all, we were very lucky. The road at Loch More cottage will have to be replaced, there are massive stones in the Lower Bridge Pool on beat thirteen which will need to be removed as it would be impossible to fish the Pool as it is, and there are a lot of other minor repairs to be carried out. Next week we will be doing a site visit with the Contractor with a view to extending the track on lower beat nine up to the Upper Tormsdale which will be very expensive but will make the beat much more agreeable to fish.
