The Thurso River - Caithness

Report:	It has been a pretty nasty week weather wise and the river still remains quite high. We have managed to identify some problems caused by the huge spate but I am delighted to tell you that there is nothing really major. I estimate that about 40 ---50 thousand tons of stone and gravel have been shifted and in some areas it will leave problems that will need to be addressed. However, there are other changes that have taken place that look to have made some areas more attractive-------hopefully the salmon will agree.
