It is very rarely in the past forty plus years that I have seen the Thurso so low. It is a great shame for the new owners who have already done so much to make the Thurso Great again. But, being positive as they are, they are using the low water conditions to have a lot of work done in and around Loch More dam.
The fishing has been virtually non existent with Anglers opting to go trout fishing. There is now massive numbers of fish in the Estuary with only the odd small grilse attempting to run. |
