Despite very cold winds and the occassional flurries of snow and hailstones we still had a reasonable week. The Campbell Party shared six fish on a three day visit, Jim cameron had two nice fish from beat seven,Kevin Sinclair had a brace after what was a very barren spell by his standards and Keith Webster had a pilchard on beat nine which weighed in at twenty seven pounds. As I write on Saturday evening we have just enjoyed our annual visit from the Students of Charleston Academy who had some tremendous sport with the trout. Teacher,Andrew Jack caught his first ever Springer whilst on a break from supervising the Students. His fish weighed in at thirteen pounds. Looking ahead, we have to be fairly confident of good sport-----but we do need to lose the wind chill. |
